Demand for class A warehouses falls in Ukraine, stocks of social group goods rise

«There is an increase in demand for class B and C warehouses in Ukraine, as well as an increase in stocks of vital goods in warehouses», – the co-owner of Zammler group of logistics companies, Viktor Shevchenko.

“We see an increase in demand for class B and C warehouses due to lower rental cost compared to class A complexes. Since most of Zammler’s warehouse complexes are class A warehouses, now we are considering the option of increasing storage space through class B and C warehouses,” Shevchenko said.

In addition, he told about another tendency, namely, an increase in stocks of vital goods in warehouses and a decrease in stocks of other groups of goods.

“There is a tendency to increase stocks of vital goods (food group, medicines, spare parts, components, mobile communication) by 10-12%. At the same time, stocks of goods of other segments decreased by 15-17%”.

Shevchenko also said that there are no other significant changes in warehouse logistics now. “The cost of storage and handling of goods remains constant. Most of our contracts are long-term, thus, we continue to provide services according to existing agreements. We did not have a need to reduce storage space”.
