ZAMMLER at the International Transport and Trade Week
In the framework of the annual International Transport and Trade Week, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine held the roundtable discussion “The Development of Transport Logistics and Multimodal/Container Transportation” on May 29, 2019. The China Trade Association and Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine invited ZAMMLER to take part in the event, the moderator of which was Viktor Dovhan, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine on European Integration. Drozdova Valeriia, the Operations Manager of the Representative Office of ZAMMLER GROUP in Odesa city, PhD in Economics, the Associate Professor of the Management and Logistics Department of Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies told the audience about the transport logistics in the modern circumstances, on impact of the globalization processes and related change of the routes. In the course of event, the Specialist showed the transportation statistics and conspicuous tendencies of the last decades and explained why the companies choose Turkey for repair of the vessels instead of Ukraine. The raise in freight rates while transporting goods by sea was evaluated as anticipated due to change of fuel type. Special attention was also drawn to the increase in demand for rail transportation of containers and inadequate infrastructure development for cargo transshipment and transit by motor transport. In the course of the roundtable discussion, the perspectives of development of transport and logistics realm of Ukraine, and namely the role and contribution of ZAMMLER Group of Companies to that process, were discussed. In our opinion, one of the projects that will influence the future volume of cargo traffic in our state is implementation of the project on modernization of the airport of Bila Tserkva and establishment of a checkpoint on the State Border of Bila Tserkva airport as well as establishment of the ZAMMLER structural subdivision at Boryspil International airport.
