ZAMMLER GROUP plans to provide the full-cycle of cargo-operations at “Bila Tserkva” aerodrome
Two working meetings were held the last week in Bila Tserkva as a part of Bila Tserkva freight airport modernization project implementation. On-site meeting was held in February 13 and was participated by the representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, State Border Guard Service and Customs Service of Ukraine, Bila Tserkva Regional and District State Administration, Municipal Enterprise of Bila Tserkva City Council “Strategic Development Agency”, Municipal Enterprise “Bila Tserkva Cargo Aviation Complex”, ZAMMLER company and other interested parties. Oleh Koshara, the head of ZAMMLER GROUP business unit in Bila Tserkva, organized the visit to the territory of the customs terminal for the members of the working team, involved in the establishment of the port of entry through the state border at “Bila Tserkva” aerodrome. The working team members also visited the premises intended for border and customs control, support of crew teams (owners of private aircrafts) aviation security, future aircraft stands for the purpose of customs procedures. The working meeting participants summarized that the aerodrome priority activities upon the establishment of the port of entry through the state border shall be related to: aircrafts maintenance and repair, general aviation servicing and cargo-transportation. ZAMMLER company as the logistics operator is ready to provide all customs and brokerage, cargo handling and storage services as well as to increase the cargo transshipment through Bila Tserkva aerodrome with a further transit to Europe. Following the meeting, the participants reached the agreements, coordinated the plan of actions, determined the period and stages of the documents preparation. On Friday, February 15, Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, visited Bila Tserkva Cargo Aviation Complex for the purpose of examining and assessing the situation, and meeting the staff of Bila Tserkva Cargo Aviation Complex, since the staff shall have to service the BOING and AIRBUS aircrafts – variety of aircraft models will be significantly broadened upon assignment of international status to the airport. During the meeting, Larysa Melnychuk, ZAMMLER GROUP development manager, told about ZAMMLER plans for cooperation with the Company: “Today, we are the strategic partner of Bila Tserva aerodrome modernization project. Currently, ZAMMLER company, being the the owner of customs terminal, has the possibility to ensure cargo traffic. We do our best to assist in the project implementation, in particular, encourage investments. Today, we plan to increase the cargo traffic using our own resources and cooperating with large companies up to 30-35 tons of cargo per day during the second year of aerodrome operation after assignment of international status to the airport and establishment of the port of entry. We also plan to improve the infrastructure and territory around our terminal and Bila Tserkva Cargo Aviation Complex, increase and modernize our terminal.” As of today, the establishment of the port of entry through the state border at “Bila Tserkva” aerodrome and assignment of international status to the airport are supported both by the relevant ministry and the other government authorities of Ukraine. We, as the interested party, consider it to be a significant achievement for the project implementation.
