ZAMMLER GROUP has introduced electronic business cards

For the third year already, ZAMMLER’s environmental management system has been certified according to ISO 14001: 2015 “Environmental Management Systems”. Throughout this time it has been actively transforming company’s activity for it would have minimal environmental impact. Moreover, the improvement of this system allows to reduce the production costs by saving resources (electricity, materials, etc.). “And this has become a lifestyle for the company,” notes ZAMMLER Group’s quality systems manager, Irina Filimonova, “Waste paper collection, double-sided printing, energy saving through the installation of motion sensors, proper battery disposal and digital workflow are the everyday routine for every employer.” Constantly trying to improve and increase our competitiveness in the market as a result of introducing “environmental friendliness”/ or such eco-friendly approach into the system at all its levels, we have come to the conclusion that we should give up using such basic thing as a paper business cards. Having calculated the average consumption of materials for making business cards for a year, we realized that we can save a lot more than one tree. Electronic business cards became an alternative to traditional business cards. Such decision is quite sensible in times of the digitalization. The marketing and development department proposed a concept and design, which were successfully implemented and actively used by company employees. It is natural that the process of switching to e-business cards requires additional efforts to cope up with some issues – not everyone is ready to quickly turn on the QR scanner and get a feed back in a quick and convenient way. The interlocutor still expects a thick rectangle-shaped piece of paper with printed data on from you, and the exchange of electronic information is surprising. This is still new and unusual, which is why we have not completely taken out of business the usage of traditional business-cards, because we want to make the transition period as comfortable as possible to our future customers and partners. But we are sure that in the near future we will not be the only company in the logistics market that keeps up to date and takes care of the environment at the same time.
