ZAMMLER Integrates AI into Key Logistics Processes — Viktor Shevchenko for Forbes Ukraine

ZAMMLER Group of logistics companies is implementing artificial intelligence-based solutions in transportation and warehouse logistics. The company is integrating AI into its key digital systems to automate routine processes, enhance the safety of warehouse operations, and accelerate decision-making.

Co-owner of the Group, Viktor Shevchenko, spoke about how artificial intelligence is already transforming the logistics industry in general and ZAMMLER’s operations in particular in a commentary for Forbes Ukraine.

According to him, logistics has traditionally involved a significant number of manual operations, ranging from document processing to operational management. AI integration makes it possible to automate these processes, reduce the number of errors, respond to customer requests more quickly, and provide a more consistent level of service.

The company is already using artificial intelligence to automate certain business processes. For example, the distribution of incoming emails, which previously required hours of work by office managers, is now performed automatically.

“Other solutions are currently being implemented, and we expect a comparable effect. If up to 10 people are currently involved in the video surveillance process, with AI this task could potentially be handled by just two. Investigating incidents and tracking the movement of goods currently takes from several days to weeks, but with AI it could be reduced to hours or even minutes,” said Viktor Shevchenko.

According to him, the next stage will be the integration of artificial intelligence into operational management. The company plans to use AI to optimize routes, forecast workloads and risks, as well as improve the accuracy of logistics planning.

“In 2026, the competitive advantage will not be the mere fact of using AI, but the depth of its integration into business processes. The winners will be companies that already have digital infrastructure and are systematically implementing these solutions,” emphasized Viktor Shevchenko.
