ZAMMLER about logistics in wartime on German TV

ZAMMLER GROUP and the volunteer project “Tachka na TROkachka” became the heroes of a German documentary film about the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine.

The German public broadcaster ZDF released the project “The scene of the crime is Ukraine”, consisting of 6 series. One of them is dedicated to volunteers. People who take out from under the bombs, rescue the wounded, deliver humanitarian aid, evacuate families. In short, they are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine stands up against the cruel aggressor.

Viсtor Shevchenko says in the film that if there is no logistics  there is no Victory.  In civilian life he is the general director of ZAMMLER GROUP, and now  he is an officer of the logistics department of the headquarters of the Forces Command TrO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I have always been a patriot. Two days before the invasion, I joined the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces”.  Shevchenko told German journalists that he immediately started doing on logistics in the army, because it is one of the key factors in the war.

He further explained that logistics is the basis of the army’s livelihood – ammunition, food, fuel, and personnel must be transported. Shevchenko shared his thoughts that it was precisely because of the lack of all-terrain trucks at the front that could perform logistical tasks so the idea of the “Tachka na TROkachka” project was born.

There were old cars at the storage bases of the Armed Forces. They were 30 -40 years old. Have you seen such cars? There is a car body, wheels and a motor. Maybe. The first machines were repaired by ZAMMLER mechanics. Their condition was divided into categories: bad, very bad, super bad (Shevchenko jokes).

The idea turned out to be working, because repairing a car is cheaper than buying a new one. And a military vehicle is more suitable for military tasks than a civilian all-terrain vehicle. Since then, as the mechanics say, almost one and a half hundred machines have been back to working condition and sent to the front. Patrons appeared, other volunteers joined. Work is in full swing. Nobody is going to give up from the volunteer front.

The authors of the documentary themselves say that this series is about the strength and unity of Ukrainian civil society.
