REPRESENTATIVES OF ZAMMLER GROUP JOINE DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL TRANSPORT MASTER PLAN

As part of the EU project “Support to the Ukrainian authorities in the development of the National Transport Model and Master Plan”, a regular meeting of the Working Group on Freight Transportation was held on May 26 in Odessa. It brought together experts from the EU technical assistance project, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Business.

ZAMMLER GROUP was represented at the meeting by the Head of the International and Domestic Freight Department of the ZAMMLER structural unit in Odessa Dmytro Trusov.

The working group analyzed the current situation of freight transportation in Ukraine. The meeting also discussed the main directions of the EU policy on sustainable transportation and the main trends in the freight market, the main priorities of the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 (NTS 2030), improving the conditions of freight and determining the prospects for their development and the transport sector of Ukraine. based on NTS 2030.

The Working Group also discussed the technical aspects of the smooth functioning of the freight market, regulatory regulation of freight and the need to revise it in the light of Ukraine’s European integration obligations, providing cross-border and transit traffic, state support for the development of freight transportation by ecological transport. etc.

Dmytro Trusov voiced problem points in various types of logistics: air, sea, car and rail container transportation. Regarding road transport, he raised the following issues that need to be taken into account and resolved: the need for state support of road hauliers against the background of tightening regulatory requirements, creating electronic queues and parking at border crossings, the need for transparency in the allocation of scarce permits for international road transport.

CEO ZAMMLER GROUP Viktor Shevchenko and Director of the International Transport Department Olexander Kiriliuk, who are also part of the Working Group, have joined online.

In the future, the findings and conclusions of the Working Group will be used to prepare the Transport Master Plan of Ukraine until 2030.
